Recipe type: Entree
Serves: 4

  • Bone Suckin’ Seasoning & Rub, Hot, 3 Tbsp.
  • All Purpose Flour, ½ cup, divided
  • Olive Oil, ¼ cup, divided, plus a little more if needed
  • Beef Broth, 3 cups
  • Chopped Steak, 1½ lbs.
  • Onion, 1 large, sliced thinly
  • Sea Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Mushrooms, 8 oz. (optional)

  1. In a resealable bag, mix together Bone Suckin’ Hot Seasoning & Rub, ¼ cup of flour, sea salt and pepper. Drop meat into bag, shake to coat well and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat ⅛ cup of oil to medium-high and add onions to skillet. Cook onions for 7 minutes or until translucent. Remove onions from pan and set aside. Add remaining oil to pan and then add meat. Brown meat for 5 minutes per side and remove from skillet.
  3. Whisk ¼ cup of flour with oil left in skillet (it should turn pasty). Add beef broth and stir until sauce thickens. Place meat and onions (and mushrooms) in sauce, cover, reduce heat to low and cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve over egg noodles, mashed potatoes or rice. Recipe serves 4.
