A good, southern recipe!

Serves: 6-8

  • Bone Suckin’ Seasoning & Rub, Hot, 1 Tbsp.
  • Mixed Dried Peas, 1 small bag (Black Eyed, Crowder, etc.), soaked overnight
  • Chicken Broth, 2 Qt.
  • Red Pepper, ¼ cup, diced
  • Yellow Pepper, ¼ cup, diced
  • Yellow Onion, 1, diced
  • Link Sausage, 3 or 4 links, sliced and browned (I used Chorizo)
  • Sea Salt and Pepper to taste

  1. Heat a medium to large pot to medium-high.
  2. Add peppers, onions and Bone Suckin’ Hot Seasoning & Rub and stir, letting the vegetables sweat for about 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Turn heat to low. Pour in broth, beans, sausage, sea salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Cook on low for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Serve with Cheese Biscuits or crusty bread. Recipe serves 6 to 8.
