Bone Suckin’® Spicy Peas and Sausage Recipe

A good, southern recipe!
Ingredients
- Bone Suckin’ Poultry Seasoning & Rub, 1 Tbsp.
- Mixed Dried Peas, 1 small bag (Black Eyed, Crowder, etc.), soaked overnight
- Chicken Broth, 2 Qt.
- Red Pepper, ¼ cup, diced
- Yellow Pepper, ¼ cup, diced
- Yellow Onion, 1, diced
- Link Sausage, 3 or 4 links, sliced and browned (I used Chorizo)
- Sea Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a medium to large pot to medium-high.
- Add peppers, onions and Bone Suckin’ Hot Seasoning & Rub and stir, letting the vegetables sweat for about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Turn heat to low. Pour in broth, beans, sausage, sea salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook on low for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Serve with Cheese Biscuits or crusty bread. Recipe serves 6 to 8.
